School planning and reporting

Planning and reporting help us meet the needs of our community, improve the quality of teaching and enhance outcomes for all of our students.

The development of the new strategic plan has been a consultative process, involving all staff as well as parents and students. Through this process we have identified a school vision statement, which articulates clearly what we strive to achieve at Oakhill Drive Public School.

Our vision statement

Strive to achieve

Our students will gain the skills, knowledge and attitudes, that will prepare them to be creative, connected and collaborative lifelong learners. Our students will be encouraged to become healthy, well rounded, global citizens who contribute to the creation of the common good in today's knowledge based, dynamic, interdependent world.

Strategic direction 1: Quality teaching and learning in a dynamic school

To continue to build a school culture of excellence and equity, ensuring each student experiences success; aspiring to become confident and creative lifelong learners and global citizens.

Strategic direction 2: Quality relationships & wellbeing for all

To promote and build a positive school community environment through sustainable school wide systems which develop the overall wellbeing of students, staff and the community. Positive practices and procedures foster a culture of learning and collegiality and effective partnerships in which the school and its community are able to connect succeed and thrive.

Strategic direction 3: Quality leadership & management

To create a culture of high expectations and community engagement resulting in whole school improvement. Develop administrative systems, structures and processes underpining ongoing improvement and professional effectiveness of all school members.

School plan

We have developed a 3-year plan in consultation with our community, connected to a budget and student outcomes.

The School Excellence Framework underpins our school planning and reporting approach. The framework provides a clear description of the key elements of high-quality practice across learning, teaching and leading.

The school plan is highly strategic, focusing on 3 key areas for improvement we have determined in consultation with our community. It demonstrates our alignment and commitment to excellence as part of public education in NSW to ensure a profound difference to the ongoing growth and development of our school.
